What is it?
DGA's "Work At Home" program provides an opportunity for employees to control and balance their work schedules against family and individual needs and therefore providing a better work-life balance. Imagine if you could recoup 2 to 3hrs of your day to tend to your personal and family needs, the secure feeling of being able to drop and pickup your children from school or daycare. You will also have more cash in your pocket by not having to spend $25 to $30 gas expenses each week.
At-home worker means simply that, certain individuals are provided the ability of working from home on some or all their scheduled workdays or even splitting the workday half in the office half at home, morning or evening. If it’s more important for you to have extra time in the morning at home, work the 2nd half of your shift in the office or visa versa. Or if at the beginning of the week Mondays are a busy time in your home getting everyone off to school and work tend to those needs by not traveling back and forth to work.
At-Home workers are always connected to the home office, there will regular interaction, regular performance reporting so you always know where you stand and regular scheduled workdays in the office. Think of it as being tethered to the home office with structured in-house reporting for training and environment refresher workdays.
